Night's Watch recruiter Yoren smuggles Arya out of King's Landing disguised as a boy. Joffrey announces his intention to marry Sansa despite executing her father. In Essos, Daenerys's baby is born dead and deformed, while Drogo remains in a vegetative state from Mirri's treacherous magic. Daenerys ends Drogo's suffering, then places her three dragon eggs on his funeral pyre along with Mirri, whom she burns alive. Ignoring Jorah's pleas, Daenerys walks into the flames. The next morning, she emerges unharmed from the ashes with three newly hatched dragons as her followers kneel before her.
