SpriteForHtml Python Package Demo

Here is the generated sprite using the command python -m spriteforhtml . This command will generate

• sprite.png and sprite.web, the sprite image
• sprite.css, which describes the position and size of each sub-image in the sprite

This sprite has been build with default json file sprite.json, and is

Facebook, as a regular class

Youtube, with hover pseudo

English flag, as a css id

French flag, with pseudo being before

play button, smaller one, with pseudo being after

You may note, using your favorite html debugger, that all icons (facebook, youtube,...) are loaded from sprite.png using a single request, instead of 5 requests if using img
